A Weekly Snowshoe event is being hosted by Christine Dorion at the Porcupine Ski Runners and open to everyone. Come out for a fun evening of exploring the snowshoe trails in the dark. Please bring a headlamp or flashlight to join. It’s about 1hr to 1.5hrs depending on trail you do and speed . Any age can join.No extra cost. Membership or day pass is required. Red vs. Blue Spiel—Darcy Traviss and Norm Martin were good friends of Special Olympics and Community Living Timmins, and unfortunately 5 years ago both gentlemen passed away. On February 10th 2018, we honor their memory by providing a unique sporting event. At the McIntrye Curling Club, we will be holding an event where half the teams entered to represent the color red (Special Olympics – Team Traviss) and half the teams entered to represent the color blue (Community Living Timmins – Team Martin). Whichever team color wins more games, they will receive 60% of the funds raised where the other team receives 40%. All of the funds raised are donated in the names of the two gentlemen two these two wonderful organizations.
