Stars And Thunder - June 24- July 1st, 2017

 

Stars and Thunder Timmins International Fireworks Competition & Music Festival

The City of Timmins is excited to present what promises to be one of the biggest festivals across the country in celebration of Ontario and Canada’s 150th birthday!

The 8-day Stars and Thunder – Timmins International Fireworks Competition and Music Festival will see a spectacular lineup of Canadian and international music stars including Keith Urban, Johnny Reid, Hedley, Simple Plan, Tom Cochrane with Red Rider, April Wine, Cold Creek County, The Washboard Union, David Wilcox, Michel Pagliaro, Lights, Sass Jordan, Alyssa Reid, Alan Frew, Meghan Patrick, Sons of Maxwell, Le Groupe Swing, Scarlett Jane, Cindy Doire, Celeste Levis, The Box, JJ Shiplett, Joel Plaskett, and Blackie Jackett Jr.

These performances will be followed by international fireworks displays by teams representing France, Italy, Finland, Ukraine, China, Brazil, United Kingdom, in addition to the host team from Canada. Stars and Thunder kicks off on June 24, leading up to the performance of international country music icon Keith Urban on July 1. The open-air, all-ages event will take place in the Hollinger Park at the heart of Timmins, hosting up to 23,000 spectators.
