Canada Day wouldn’t be the same without fireworks, and the city is fortunate to have a group of 24 local businesses, led by Bucket Shop Inc. Vice President Paul Woodward, who have been coming together for several years to light the skies. The group is graciously covering the cost of fireworks for both Canada Day and this year’s Great Canadian Kayak Challenge and Festival, being held in August.
A section of Riverside Drive, from Theriault Boulevard to Norman Street will be closed on July 1, from 9:30 pm to 12 am to accommodate the firework display.
Timmins’ patriotic display of extreme fireworks, produced by Dreamcatcher Fireworks, and locally sponsored, will be executed to a musical simulcast on local radio stations KiSS FM (99.3), and Moose FM (93.1) at 10:30 pm for those wishing to watch from their vehicles or from home.
11:00 p.m. – Cindy Doire presents Panorama with Special Guest SCARLETT JANE
