TIMMINS SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

The 8th Annual Summer Concert Series gets underway on June 28th with the first free concert taking place from Gilles Lake in Timmins during the Stars and Thunder – Timmins International Fireworks Competition and Music Festival (www.starsandthunder.com)

The remaining 9 weeks of Summer Concert Series will be held from the Schumacher Lions Club McIntyre Park located on McIntyre Road in Schumacher every Wednesday beginning July 5th to August 30th starting from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition, four special concerts will be hosted from Bannerman Park in Porcupine. These are scheduled for July 13 and 27, August 10 and 24. From 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This hugely popular event attracts thousands of people each year with a wide variety of musical talent, from blues, rock and country to jazz, swing, symphony and French pop. Visit (www.tourismtimmins.com) for an updated list of artists scheduled to play.

The Summer Concert Series is a production of Tourism Timmins and DJ Taz and proudly sponsored by several corporate entities. James Toyota will be coordinating a volunteer admission of cash or non-perishable food items in support of both the Timmins and South. Porcupine Food Banks.
