Timmins Celebrates Ontario’s 150″ will bring together Timmins’ multitude of cultures over a period of eight days to celebrate Timmins and Ontario musical talent as well as to commemorate the sesquicentennial through fireworks and song. Set around Hollinger Park and Gilles Lake, the eight day celebration will feature daily musical performances featuring local and headlining artists representing Indigenous, French Canadian and English Canadian cultures capped off by an international fireworks competition each evening. Activities on June 24 will focus on francophones and St. Jean Baptiste. The celebrations will also include activities the entire festival for young and old by providing children’s activities that would include inflatables, games, obstacle courses, and friendly competitions. There would be a large celebration on July 1st for Canada’s birthday with a large scale, big name concert in Hollinger Park. For more information visit www.starsandthunder.com
