Walk for Alzheimers

There’s a good chance you know someone impacted by Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. The Walk For Alzheimer’s is a chance to show your support. Invite your family, friends, neighbours and co-workers and register as a team or an individual walker now. Who are you walking for? www.walkforalzheimers.ca Registration and check in starts at 9 am, walk begins at 10 AM. The Walk for Alzheimer’s is the leading nationwide fundraising event for Alzheimer Societies in Canada. It is a grass roots, community based walk event that has created a groundswell of support, passion and engagement for individuals and their families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias from coast to coast. The Walk for Alzheimer’s is a great opportunity for communities to join together to raise awareness and funds to combat this increasingly prevalent disease. It is a fun way support your local Alzheimer Society and to make a world of difference in the lives of the 564,000 Canadians living with dementia. Invite your family, friends, neighbours and co-workers to join in the cause. Every step you take together may be one step closer to a world without Alzheimer’s disease

Lobsterfest 2018

Join us for our annual Lobsterfest on May 26th at 6pm, at the Porcupine Dante Club!! Fresh Atlantic lobster with a steak, wine, salads and desserts. Dinner is followed by a silent auction and dancing, and is always a fun night out! Tickets are $85. Send us a message at timmins.rotary.lobster@gmail.com, or pick up your tickets from any Rotarian, at MacIvor and MacIvor Optometry or Steinberg & Mahn. Proceeds support the Timmins Symphony Orchestra. Lobster and scallops can also be ordered. $140/dozen lobster or $25/lb scallops. Tickets and orders are due May 20th.
